چکیده
Decimation is a common process in digital signal processing that involves reducing the sampling rate of an oversampled by linearly combining consecutive samples. Among other applications, this represents simple means to mitigate noise content signal. In work, novel optical concept inspired these operations proposed, which called Parametric-assisted Oversampling and (POD). By using all-fiber setup, POD processor first realizes ultra-fast parametric oversampling incoming temporal (at >100 Gigasamples per second), followed decimation reduces any user-defined factor lossless manner. way, delivers amplified sampled copy signal, where peak-to-peak gain results from combination amplification “passive” equal factor. report, joint passive ≈50 on GHz-bandwidth signals demonstrated. Furthermore, it shown can effectively effects narrowband noise, outperforming traditional filtering techniques. experimentally achieving ultra-high factors (>750), (MHz-bandwidth) waveformsthat are lost much stronger background recovered.

متن کاملLow-power decimation filters for oversampling ADCs via the decorrelating (DECOR) transform
The area and power consumption of oversampling analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are governed largely by the associated digital decimation filter. This paper presents a low power, area-efficient digital decimation filter for an oversampling ADC application that employs the decorrelating (DECOR) transform in order to reduce the power dissipation and area. The DECOR transform exploits the corre...
متن کاملAn Efficient Method for Knock Signal Denoising in Spark Ignition Engine
One of the factors that affects the efficiency and lifetime of spark ignited internal combustion engine is “knock”. Knock sensor is a commonly used to detect this phenomenon. However, noise, limits detection accuracy of this sensor. In this study, Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD) method is introduced as a fully adaptive signal-based analysis. Then, based on weighting decomposition...

The paper deals with the use of wavelet transform for signal and image de-noising employing a selected method of thresholding of appropriate decomposition coefficients. The proposed technique is based upon the analysis of wavelet transform and it includes description of global modification of its values. The whole method is verified for simulated signals and applied for processing of biomedical...
متن کاملOn Denoising and Signal Representation
The problem of signal denoising using an orthogonal basis is considered. The framework of previous solutions converts the denoising problem into one of finding a threshold for estimates of basis coefficients. In this paper a new solution to the denoising problem is proposed. The method is based on calculation of the coefficient estimation error in each subspace of the basis. For each subspace, ...
